The Bill Collier Community Ice Arena at the Running Y Resort is a community based project operated by Klamath Ice Sports. From November through March you can enjoy figure skating, speed skating, hockey and take skating lessons.
Steen Sports Park is a family oriented facility dedicated to promoting physical health and fitness in a safe attractive environment. It is a 150 acre facility in Klamath Falls offering one of the finest skateboard parks in the U.S. along with a 60,000 square foot indoor soccer arena, twelve baseball diamonds, five soccer fields, picnic areas, concession stands, a 2.5 mile jogging path and a 10,000 square foot indoor baseball Facility.
This 345 acre park near Keno is dedicated to family oriented outdoor recreation. It offers an archery field course, an archery pin course, a 50 yard pistol course, a 200 meter rifle range, a 600 yard rifle range, sporting clays, shotgun practice trap, four wheel drive and Off-Hiway courses, a motocross track, a radio controlled aircraft flying field, self contained RV camping, picnic areas and fishing access to the Klamath River.
Klamath County offers world class bicycling from touring the rim of Crater Lake to trekking 100 miles of the OC&E Woods Line State Trail. Klamath County often hosts the Oregon Bicycle Ride and Cycle Oregon, two well-organized tours. Klamath Falls also offers a network of bicycle trails that can eliminate your need for a car!
The Ella Redkey Municipal swimming pool in downtown Klamath Falls offers a huge geothermally heated pool and waterslide for the kids as well as lanes for lap swimming. With the exception of times scheduled for our local swim teams, the pool is open to family recreational use. The YMCA and the community of Malin also offer swimming pools for your use. Lake of the Woods, Miller Lake, Crescent Lake and Odell Lakes also offer great opportunities for swimming.
The Klamath River starts at Klamath Falls and runs to the Pacific Ocean. The upper portion of the river offers some of the best and most exciting river rafting in the world. There are six class IV rapids. With names like Caldera, Hells Corner, Bushwhacker, and Ambush you can imagine the excitement!
Football: The Klamath Crusaders play in the Oregon Football League. The Crusaders are a semi-professional team providing an opportunity for players to continue playing football after high school and college. The league promotes sportsmanship and a sense of community among players, coaches, and their families. In addition, all of the area high schools field great teams.
Baseball: The Gems are a summer college baseball team that plays out of historic Kiger Stadium in Klamath Falls. The Gems are the newest members of the West Coast League. Area High Schools and Oregon Institute of Technology field men's and women's teams. Klamath Falls is well known across the region for its Falcons, an American Legion team, and it's Babe Ruth League teams. Kids have every opportunity to play from the tiniest tots playing t-ball to adult softball leagues.
Klamath County Family YMCA offers a wide range of activities including swimming, kids soccer, co-ed youth and adult volleyball, youth basketball, and even indoor soccer for kids as young as 3.
